Jane Noble...
Co Artistic Director / Actor

Jane has over 16 years professional experience. She graduated from University College in London and has taught Primary and Secondary Drama and French in England, France and Saudi Arabia. She has lived in many different parts of the world including the Middle East, Cyprus and South Africa, where she enjoyed a successful acting career in television, theatre and radio. Moving to Vancouver in 1995, Jane discovered a new passion - creating theatre for children. Hooked on Books allows Jane to combine all of her creative talents. Jane loves all aspects of mounting a production, from writing, designing and directing a show, to performing it and experiencing first hand the spontaneity and enthusiasm of a young audience. Drawing on her teaching experience, Jane has also organized workshops for teachers on Bringing Books to Life in the Classroom.
Laurie Brazzill...
Co Artistic Director / Actor

Laurie is both a visual and performance artist. She obtained her BFA at the University of British Columbia and studied dance at Simon Fraser University. Laurie’s number one passion is working with children and creating shows that will both entertain and inspire them. She has extensive experience organizing workshops for both gifted children and those with learning disabilities, integrating art, drama, story telling and puppetry, to foster imaginative problem solving and self-discovery. Laurie’s second passion is Canadian history. She has enjoyed five wonderful seasons acting, writing and directing at Fort Steel Heritage town in the East Kootenays. Laurie spent over three years travelling, living and studying in India, Africa and Asia but is proud to call British Columbia home.
Don Stewart... Actor

Born in Amherstburg, Ontario, Don Stewart began his career at the age of nine as a soloist in his father’s church. Gifted with a four-octave range, by 12 he was a regular singer with The Creations and Welcome Changes. He won a scholarship to attend the Salem School of Art in Detroit, Michigan and then spent the next five years touring internationally as lead singer with various bands.Don has appeared in Five Guys Named Moe, An Evening with Nat King Cole and Unforgettable as Nat and in Showboat as Joe. His many film and television credits include The X Files, The Outer Limits, Millennium and Listen. Don's smooth distinctive jazz sound can be heard on his first CD Here's that Rainy Day and his latest newly released CD, It's Not For Me To Say. In complete contrast, Don loves the joy and fun of performing with Hooked on Books and having the opportunity to play everything from pigs and princesses to pirates, paupers and comic book heroes.Visit Don's website at www.donstewart.ca
